Emilios Mexican Restaurant – A Gay Friendly Denver Restaurant

A Gay Friendly Denver Restaurant with the Great Mexican Food!

EMILIOS RESTAURANT

Article written by Kari Kuka

When I think of having one of the best chicken enchiladas in town, I think of Emilios. After years working as a waitress and manager at another local Mexican Restaurant, Andrea Armas and her husband decided in 2007, it was time to open their own. Born was Emilios located on Colfax and Logan and the home of the $1.75 margarita. In just three years this once small corner restaurant has tripled in size and continues to grow. With the newest addition of an outside patio and back bar, it will be one of the best summer time hangouts for food and drink.

Whether you’re in the mood for breakfast, lunch or dinner, they have something for you. Once you try of their famous relleno plate, taco carbon, or their daily home-made green chili you will be hooked.

Emilios is not just a friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant, they are also gay friendly. Going in on any given night you will see friends, and “family” enjoying the atmosphere, laughing, and enjoying a delicious meal and margarita. They are open and welcoming to everyone in the community and are even planning special events for Denver’s Pride Fest 2011. They have a patio that is rented out for the parade, drink specials of course, and are doing this on a day they are usually closed.

Emilios is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00am – 9:00pm and closed Sundays. Come out and support a local bar and restaurant that supports our community. Find them on the web at www.EmiliosMexicanRestaurant.com.
